Entering codes and set up should be easy so everyone can do it. The last thing you need is to keep referring to the manual just to set up the codes. Ensure that every family member can configure the keypads.

Some systems come with a noisemaker. This can keep intruders away. Putting a motion sensor outside the home can also deter intruders from going near your property.
