Why Install a Burglar Alarm and Security System
Technology has indeed changed the way we live our lives. And, as technology changes, the ways we live our lives tend to change, too.
Let us take the phone technology as an example. When the first landline phone was invented, it was a major breakthrough since it connected people from distant places. Many years after that, cellular phones were released in the market. Then came the smaller cell phones. Now, what we have are cell phones that also work as cameras, radios, music players, televisions and even computers.
The same is true about burglar alarm and security systems. Before, burglar alarms are just simple devices so that when a door or a window was opened, the alarm will produce a sound. Now, with the incorporation of the latest technologies into burglar alarms and security systems, these devices have more functions than just letting you know that someone broke into your house.
The latest burglar alarms may now be connected to electronic locks in doors. Electronic locks are examples of advance security systems. Most of these locks require a number sequence in order to open the door. With a burglar alarm installed along with this security system, you will be alerted if someone has made several attempts to enter the number code.
Security systems may also be connected to cameras and monitors. This can give you a lot of advantage in checking which door was opened when the burglar alarm was triggered. The cameras may also be connected to a recording device to assist in police and insurance claim investigations.
Since security systems have cameras, you can easily monitor the things that are going on in the house of the office. You will see your employees are doing their jobs or if they are just playing around.
Burglar alarms and security systems may also be connected to the Internet or a phone. When the system detected a problem, you may be sent a message on your phone or on your email. A telephone number may also be called by the burglar alarm to notify that the sensor has detected something. With the cameras on, you can also check the video feeds from the cameras of the security system even if you are not at home or in the office.
Some burglar alarms may now also detect smoke. With this, your security system does not only keep you safe from burglars but also from dangers of losing lives and property because of fire.
